About the Role
You will focus on developing Flying Probe Test (FPT) and In-Circuit Test (ICT) solutions while providing technical support to Contract Electronics Manufacturing (CEM) partners. You will work closely with the Product Test and Diagnosis team and wider Manufacturing Operations teams to deliver robust and scalable production test solutions for complex electronic circuit card assemblies, ensuring high-quality manufacturing test coverage, efficient deployment and ongoing production support.
Requirements
- Experience with manufacturing test platforms such as Teradyne, Keysight or TRI; experience with SPEA is highly desirable
- Experience developing or supporting manufacturing test solutions for advanced electronic systems
- Strong understanding of SMT and PCB manufacturing processes and common failure mechanisms
- Appreciation of AOI and AXI manufacturing inspection processes and capabilities
- Experience using ISP and OBP circuit card assembly configuration solutions
- Experience using local and remote electronic test instrumentation, including oscilloscopes, DMMs, SMUs, clock generators and power supplies
- Ability to work effectively with external electronics manufacturing and test partners
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills within manufacturing and test environments
- Clear communication skills with the ability to collaborate across engineering and manufacturing teams
- Strong understanding of electronic engineering fundamentals
- Experience using Aster TestWay for electrical testability analysis and test process coverage
- Experience with general-purpose programming languages such as Python, C or Java
- Experience using Statistical Process Control methodologies and associated analysis tools
- Familiarity with NPI manufacturing environments and transition to mass production
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain FPT and ICT test programs for PCBA manufacturing test
- Review hardware designs for Design for Test (DFT) readiness and support improvements to maximise manufacturing test coverage
- Debug and troubleshoot hardware and test issues during design validation, NPI and mass production phases
- Contribute to the definition, implementation and optimisation of manufacturing test solutions
- Support the deployment, qualification and acceptance of Test Package Sets at CEM sites
- Collaborate with external manufacturing partners to support circuit card assembly test processes and issue resolution
- Monitor and maintain the quality and consistency of deployed CCA test and inspection solutions
- Support test station setup, hardware configuration and maintenance activities throughout the product lifecycle
- Analyse manufacturing yield data and drive continuous improvement activities to enhance production efficiency
- Work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to resolve manufacturing and production test challenges
- Support failure analysis activities and provide clear technical feedback to internal and external stakeholders
- Contribute to process documentation, test procedures and manufacturing best practices
