About the Role
You'll join Ellipsis Labs as a summer intern in 2027, working across the stack based on your skills and interests. You'll take ownership of scoped projects from problem definition through design, implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring. You'll collaborate closely with design and engineering teams to deliver fast, reliable, and secure experiences, while instrumenting and improving performance, reliability, and observability, and writing clear tests and documentation.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience building software (courses, personal projects, research, or internships) in one or more languages such as TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, Rust, Java, C/C++
- Write clear, tested code
- Solid CS fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, systems thinking)
- Familiarity with Git and basic debugging
- Ability to make informed trade-offs with business context
- High agency and a team-first mindset
- Curiosity about DeFi/crypto (prior domain experience not required)
- Experience in full-stack web (React/Javascript), backend APIs/services, infrastructure/DevOps (Docker, CI/CD, cloud), or on-chain/low-level systems is preferred
- Familiarity with blockchain technology (Solana a plus) is preferred
- Interest or experience in fintech/trading is preferred
- Rust or TypeScript proficiency is preferred
Responsibilities
- Build product features and platform components across the stack, front end, back end, infra, or on-chain
- Own scoped projects end-to-end from problem definition through design, implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring
- Collaborate with design and engineering to deliver fast, reliable, and secure experiences
