About the Role
You will design and develop high-performance backend systems using Java and Spring Boot. You will build microservices and event-driven services, integrate data across databases and streaming platforms, optimize Redis caching, participate in architecture and code reviews, improve testing and automation, and occasionally contribute lightweight user-interface updates.
Requirements
- Hold a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline.
- Have at least four years of professional Java and object-oriented design experience.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of Spring Boot, REST APIs, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Demonstrate deep SQL Server expertise, including stored procedures, performance tuning, and data modeling.
- Have experience using Redis for caching or data persistence.
- Have hands-on exposure to distributed event-streaming and messaging platforms or similar publish-subscribe systems.
- Be familiar with Snowflake and ETL, batch, and streaming pipeline concepts.
- Familiarity with Angular or React, JavaScript or TypeScript, and HTML or CSS is preferred.
- Have experience with agentic coding and a general understanding of large language models.
- Apply clean architecture, maintainability, and production-readiness practices.
- Experience with container orchestration, OCI containers, AWS, or GCP is beneficial.
- Exposure to metrics, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry is beneficial.
- Python scripting experience is beneficial.
- Exposure to prompt engineering and agentic AI is beneficial.
- Interest in financial systems, accounting, or investment technology is beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop robust, high-performance backend systems using Java 11 or later and Spring Boot.
- Participate actively in design discussions, code reviews, and architecture sessions.
- Build and maintain microservices and event-driven systems for large-scale financial data.
- Develop data integrations and pipelines across Snowflake, SQL Server, and real-time streaming platforms.
- Implement and optimize Redis-based caching and data stores.
- Contribute lightweight user-interface updates when needed.
- Champion code quality, testing, automation, and performance tuning.
- Improve technical craftsmanship, problem-solving, and design practices.
- Collaborate across functions to align technical solutions with product goals and business outcomes.
