About the Role
You will analyze manufacturing and logistics workflows, define automation scope and requirements, and design automation concepts, equipment configurations, and process flows. You will select robots and material-handling equipment, assess investment and risk, coordinate stakeholders, and support reviews, deployment, validation, and launch activities.
Requirements
- Experience in equipment deployment, automation, production engineering, or equipment engineering in manufacturing or logistics
- Experience evaluating equipment specifications, launching equipment, or introducing equipment
- Experience coordinating equipment manufacturers, system integrators, and internal stakeholders
- Experience considering safety, quality, cost, and delivery schedules
Responsibilities
- Investigate current automation-target processes and organize issues
- Define work breakdowns, automation scope, and prerequisites
- Design automation concepts, equipment configurations, and process flows
- Compare and select robots, conveyors, AGVs, AMRs, automated warehouses, and peripheral equipment
- Define requirements for equipment specifications, capacity, safety, quality, and maintainability
- Assess return on investment, deployment steps, and risks
- Coordinate equipment manufacturers, system integrators, and internal technical teams
- Support design reviews, deployment, validation, and launch
