About the Role
This role supports financing and capital markets activities that fund Hut 8’s infrastructure growth and long-term financial strategy. The associate will evaluate capital solutions, build financial analyses, support transactions from concept through close, and collaborate with banks, investors, legal, accounting, tax, and corporate development teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in investment banking, project finance, private equity, corporate finance, or a similar analytical role.
- Strong financial modeling and valuation skills with a deep understanding of project and corporate finance principles.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to learn quickly, prioritize effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with capital markets or investment banking transactions.
- Exposure to credit facilities, term loans, securitizations, or similar financing instruments.
- Comfort working with banks, investors, outside counsel, and consultants on live transactions.
- Familiarity with treasury management, corporate structuring, or M&A transactions.
- Strong judgment, sense of urgency, and follow-through.
Responsibilities
- Identify, structure, and evaluate financing solutions for infrastructure investments, client contracts, and continued growth.
- Lead financial modeling and analysis across equity, debt, lease, and hybrid capital solutions, including debt capacity, leverage, liquidity, covenant sensitivity, and downside scenarios.
- Research capital-markets trends, investor appetite, peer benchmarks, and emerging financing structures.
- Support capital-raising and financing transactions, including evaluating financing terms and preparing presentations.
- Manage lender and financial sponsor relationships and contribute to cross-functional special projects.
- Prepare recommendations for investment committee on financing strategies, M&A opportunities, and new investments.
- Support transaction workstreams from launch through close, including data room management, diligence responses, documentation coordination, and cross-functional alignment.
- Prepare lender presentations and committee materials, maintain closing documentation trackers, and support post-close covenant compliance and bank reporting.
