About the Role
You will support the carbon-cycle portfolio, including VICC and Carbon-RFN. You will manage program operations, award data, reporting, payments, selection processes, workshops, contracts, workflows, and Airtable systems. You will evaluate proposals, synthesize program insights, coordinate collaborators, help develop VICC Phase 2, identify partners, and represent the organization at meetings and conferences.
Requirements
- 3–6 years of program-management experience in high-intensity, team-based environments
- Experience supporting grant portfolios and coordinating work across multiple teams
- Organizational and project-coordination skills
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to support multiple projects and deadlines
- Experience coordinating internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to analyze funding proposals
- Experience with science-focused philanthropic or academic institutions
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Based in the New York office
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
Responsibilities
- Provide operational support for climate programs
- Maintain award data, documentation, and internal compliance
- Review and route awardee inquiries about reporting, payments, and progress
- Monitor reporting, milestones, payments, and program metrics
- Design and organize convenings and workshops
- Collect feedback and synthesize scientific and strategic insights
- Support award selection, due diligence, documentation, and execution
- Manage program-launch and implementation workflows
- Maintain templates, trackers, and Airtable data systems
- Coordinate contracts for reviewers, advisors, participants, and vendors
- Facilitate collaboration among awardees, staff, and projects
- Coordinate the VICC Phase 2 call for proposals
- Identify potential research, philanthropic, and government partners
- Represent the organization at meetings, forums, and conferences
