About the Role

As an Associate, you will research investment opportunities, develop thematic sourcing strategies, engage with entrepreneurs and executives, conduct due diligence and quantitative analysis, and support portfolio company relationships and strategic projects across Summit Partners' sectors of focus.

Requirements

• Two-to-three years of quantitatively based professional experience, typically in investment banking, direct investing, or consulting
• Proven leadership track record
• Outstanding academic, professional, or extracurricular achievements, typically including a GPA of 3.6+
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• High attention to detail
• Ability to think quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to commit to a three-year role
• Passion, drive, curiosity, resilience, and a positive attitude

Responsibilities

• Drive research, idea generation, and thematic sourcing across sectors of focus
• Identify compelling investment opportunities
• Engage with entrepreneurs and executives of privately held companies to develop new investment ideas
• Build sector knowledge through conferences, trade shows, and relationship building
• Conduct due diligence and quantitative analysis on new investments and add-ons
• Help manage portfolio company relationships and strategic projects
