About the Role

You will maintain and enhance AML/CFT governance and controls. You will perform quality assurance for account openings, customer due-diligence reviews, and name-screening alerts; report findings; coordinate audits and compliance testing; deliver training; update procedures; and drive continuous process improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 8–10 years of experience in KYC, AML, risk, or controls
  • Private banking experience preferred
  • Knowledge of private banking KYC/AML regulations including HKMA, MAS, CRS, and FATCA
  • Understanding of private banking services and operations
  • Knowledge of AML legal and regulatory requirements, compliance principles, and corporate governance
  • Communication and interpersonal skills
  • Presentation and report-writing skills
  • Project management and problem-solving skills
  • Written and spoken English and Chinese
  • CAMLP, AAMLP, CAMS, or equivalent qualifications are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enhance the AML/CFT governance and control framework
  • Execute quality assurance for account openings, CDD reviews, and name-screening alert clearance
  • Generate finding reports and propose quality-improvement initiatives
  • Brief management and stakeholders on deficiencies, suspicious AML activities, and non-compliance issues
  • Conduct data analysis and prepare presentation decks and MIS reports
  • Coordinate internal and external audits and compliance testing related to KYC reviews
  • Prepare management reports to strengthen control procedures and processes
  • Deliver internal AML training and quality-assurance sharing sessions
  • Conduct Risk and Control Self-Assessments
  • Maintain and update KYC quality-assurance operational manuals and guidelines
  • Coordinate and implement regulatory and policy-driven process changes
  • Mentor junior team members
  • Drive improvements in output quality and efficiency
  • Represent the team in KYC, compliance, and related meetings
  • Monitor global AML/CFT developments and integrate internal procedure updates
  • Undertake assigned ad-hoc tasks and projects
