About the Role
Design, implement, and evolve the Taproot Assets Protocol while working on mission-critical peer-to-peer cryptocurrency daemons written in Go. Collaborate on protocol research and design, participate in issue triage and open source code review, and communicate with the broader community and industry.
Requirements
- Strong engineering background with solid programming skills
- Experience in Go desired; C or C++ relevant
- Thorough understanding of distributed systems and peer-to-peer networking
- Solid engineering practices, including testing and documentation
- Experience with Bitcoin, cryptography, and/or financial software
- Prior contributions to crypto protocols and open source collaboration preferred
- Quick learner geared toward implementation
- Eager to develop new skills and take ownership of projects
Responsibilities
- Design and implement core Taproot Assets Protocol features and algorithms
- Contribute to mission-critical peer-to-peer cryptocurrency daemons written in Go
- Collaborate on research and design of future Taproot Assets Protocol iterations
- Participate in issue triage and code review of open source contributions
- Communicate with the wider community and industry about the software and technology
