About the Role

Design, implement, and evolve the Taproot Assets Protocol while working on mission-critical peer-to-peer cryptocurrency daemons written in Go. Collaborate on protocol research and design, participate in issue triage and open source code review, and communicate with the broader community and industry.

Requirements

  • Strong engineering background with solid programming skills
  • Experience in Go desired; C or C++ relevant
  • Thorough understanding of distributed systems and peer-to-peer networking
  • Solid engineering practices, including testing and documentation
  • Experience with Bitcoin, cryptography, and/or financial software
  • Prior contributions to crypto protocols and open source collaboration preferred
  • Quick learner geared toward implementation
  • Eager to develop new skills and take ownership of projects

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement core Taproot Assets Protocol features and algorithms
  • Contribute to mission-critical peer-to-peer cryptocurrency daemons written in Go
  • Collaborate on research and design of future Taproot Assets Protocol iterations
  • Participate in issue triage and code review of open source contributions
  • Communicate with the wider community and industry about the software and technology
