About the Role
You will review architectural packages for envelope performance code compliance durability and program standards. You will coordinate egress life safety accessibility permitting and AHJ comments while supporting water tightness milestones construction RFIs submittals and cross discipline coordination across multiple data center projects.
Requirements
- 5+ years of architectural or architectural-engineering experience on industrial mission-critical or large commercial buildings.
- Strong working knowledge of IBC egress life-safety design fire-rated assemblies and accessibility requirements.
- Expertise in air and vapor barriers roofing systems and envelope detailing.
- Experience running AHJ plan-review cycles across multiple jurisdictions.
- Proficiency reviewing Revit-based packages specifications and construction submittals.
- RA or PE license or a clear path to licensure preferred.
- Data center semiconductor or industrial portfolio experience is a plus.
- Ability to support several concurrent projects with shifting priorities.
- Collaborative working style across disciplines and external design partners.
- Ability to travel periodically for envelope milestones and punch activities typically 10-20%.
Responsibilities
- Review architectural packages including envelope assemblies roofing systems doors hardware layouts and finishes.
- Verify layouts support equipment movement maintenance access and security layering.
- Review occupancy classifications egress fire-rated assemblies and accessibility compliance.
- Coordinate life-safety plans with fire protection engineers and resolve code questions with AHJs.
- Support building permit submittals and drive plan-review comments to resolution.
- Review envelope details for constructability air and vapor control roofing terminations penetrations and equipment interfaces.
- Support field water-tightness milestones that affect MEP rough-in and equipment installation.
- Coordinate architectural scope with structural mechanical electrical fire protection and security disciplines.
- Respond to architectural RFIs and submittals.
- Maintain architectural standards typical details and portfolio-wide specifications.
