About the Role

You will build agents, environments, evaluations, and post-training systems for semiconductor design and verification workflows. You will create interactive EDA environments, develop reliable rewards and evaluations, and train long-horizon agents that recover from design and tool failures.

Requirements

  • Depth in RL, agents, or post-training systems.
  • Ability to become fluent in semiconductor workflows.
  • Experience building and debugging model-training, post-training, agent, evaluation, or adjacent experimental loops.
  • Strong experimental judgment, including meaningful baselines, trace inspection, and failure attribution.
  • Strong Python skills.
  • Ability to build artifacts that other researchers and engineers can run, inspect, and extend.
  • Ability to own ambiguous problems and keep partners and teammates informed.

Responsibilities

  • Build interactive verification environments for RTL writing, repair, simulation, and formal verification.
  • Design rewards and evaluations for correctness, efficiency, robustness, and performance constraints.
  • Train long-horizon agents to recover from design and tool failures.
  • Build environments where agents use EDA tools to modify designs and debug failures.
  • Develop verifiers and rewards grounded in tests, simulation, formal methods, and design rules.
  • Run credit-assignment experiments with delayed feedback across multiple tools.
  • Create reusable evaluations for correctness, recovery, and generalization.

Benefits

  • Flexible work in San Francisco, New York, London, or remote
  • Visa sponsorship
  • Relocation support
  • Professional development budget
  • Team off-sites
  • Conference attendance
