About the Role

You will evaluate model outputs for accuracy, reasoning, evidence, and hidden assumptions. You will create annotated datasets and reference responses, distinguish evidence from interpretation, steel-man opposing views, and help design humanities evaluation tasks, rubrics, and examples.

Requirements

• Deep knowledge in at least one humanities field, including linguistics, history, classical studies, literature, poetry, philosophy, ethics, visual arts, or performing arts
• Ability to assess arguments for validity, soundness, hidden premises, and category errors
• Ability to weigh primary sources against secondary literature
• Ability to steel-man opposing views and separate settled knowledge from interpretation or speculation
• Excellent analytical writing in English
• Ability to produce annotations, critiques, and reference answers from evolving instructions
• Computer running ChromeOS, macOS 11.0 or later, or Windows 10 or later when using a personal device

Responsibilities

• Evaluate model outputs for factual accuracy, logical coherence, fallacious reasoning, and hidden assumptions
• Flag errors, anachronisms, misused sources, ideological slant, and unsupported claims
• Create exemplary responses and datasets grounded in careful source evaluation
• Steel-man opposing views and distinguish settled, contested, and unknown claims
• Ground annotations and reference answers in primary sources and weigh secondary scholarship
• Collaborate on evaluation tasks, rubrics, and examples
• Define precise, sourced, proportionately confident model behavior for contested humanities questions
