About the Role
You will identify valuable AI use cases, take them from idea through launch, and define business cases and success measures. You will own the AI roadmap, translate requirements into delivery plans, manage dependencies and risks, and keep stakeholders informed. You will coach engineers, manage performance and career development, plan hiring and headcount, and improve delivery practices.
Requirements
- Process improvement experience and judgment about when AI is appropriate
- Project management skills covering roadmaps, sequencing, dependencies, and risk
- Technical background sufficient to participate credibly in technical discussions
- Experience leading software engineers and managing their performance
- Track record of delivering software through a team while balancing scope, quality, and timelines
- Coaching, feedback, conflict-resolution, hiring, and people-development skills
- Interest in AI and its practical applications
- Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Based in Amsterdam or willing to relocate
Responsibilities
- Understand business processes and identify where AI or better tools can help
- Develop AI use cases from initial idea through live delivery
- Own the AI roadmap and prioritize work against company goals
- Coach engineers and manage career planning, promotions, and performance conversations
- Plan hiring, headcount, and allocation of engineers
- Maintain team morale and productivity and address conflict early
- Translate technical and business requirements into delivery plans
- Work with Engineering, Trading, and Quant to roll out AI solutions
- Track delivery progress, manage risks and scope trade-offs, and inform stakeholders
- Improve delivery practices and team velocity
