About the Role
You will build, maintain, and upfit autonomous vehicle systems. You will diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and software issues, test components, inspect hardware quality, and document findings through work instructions, redlines, and engineering feedback.
Requirements
- Demonstrate hands-on diagnostic and repair experience with mechanical and electrical systems.
- Have experience with prototype, first-article, or low-volume builds and test equipment.
- Diagnose intermittent electrical faults and read schematics, wiring diagrams, and harness diagrams.
- Create and use documentation for safety-critical issues, work instructions, and engineering feedback.
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs unassisted.
- Stand, kneel, bend, and work in confined or awkward positions for extended periods.
- Work safely around vehicles, moving parts, elevated platforms, and high-voltage or high-energy systems.
- Work in shop, garage, or field environments with noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and upfit first-article autonomous technology builds.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and identify root causes across mechanical, electrical, and software systems.
- Maintain, repair, and upfit systems to improve fleet uptime.
- Test mechanical and electrical components and assemblies.
- Generate and review work instructions, redlines, and manufacturing and service feedback.
- Inspect hardware quality and provide feedback to resolve build issues.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Travel occasionally to fleet locations, partner sites, or field-support locations.
