About the Role
You will run recurring compliance programs for US government authorizations and help establish new authorization pathways. You will turn government obligations into testable engineering requirements, assess evidence, maintain control mappings, support model launches within authorized government environments, and automate compliance work using Claude while retaining human judgment.
Requirements
- Several years of security compliance or IT audit experience with hands-on US government compliance for a cloud service
- Working command of the NIST SP 800-53 Moderate baseline and authorization mechanics
- Experience writing engineering requirements from control baselines and reviewing evidence
- Working knowledge of GovCloud or Vertex-style government regions and authorized-boundary changes
- Technical fluency to assess runbooks, configurations, and pipeline definitions against written controls
- Clear writing skills
- Ability to influence partner teams to prioritize and close compliance work
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Responsibilities
- Run recurring compliance cycles for US government authorizations, including continuous monitoring, POA&M, assessments, SSP updates, significant changes, and incident notifications
- Co-own FedRAMP 20x work and help build new FedRAMP, DoD, StateRAMP, and TX-RAMP authorizations
- Support model authorizations in GovCloud and Vertex for model launches
- Translate government obligations into requirements for partner teams and review compliance evidence
- Answer public-sector customer and deal questions and handle questionnaires and RFIs
- Map US government requirements to the Common Control Framework and maintain a single source of truth for status
- Automate compliance mapping, evidence collection, and reporting with Claude, and verify machine-drafted records
