About the Role
You will own the second-line technology and cyber risk function. You will assess and challenge security controls, maintain a technology and cyber risk register, partner with engineering and security on risk identification, govern AI systems, support regulatory assessments, monitor emerging risks, and assess custody-critical and security-critical vendors.
Requirements
- 5+ years in technology risk, cyber risk, or information security risk management
- At least 2 years in a dedicated second-line role at a bank, regulated fintech, or equivalent
- Direct experience with GSIB-style third-party assessments
- Ability to critically assess security deliverables and produce independent risk opinions
- Hands-on experience with quantitative risk modeling using FAIR or equivalent methodology
- Familiarity with AI and machine learning risk governance concepts
- Familiarity with DORA ICT risk requirements or equivalent EU financial regulation
- Strong written communication skills
- Experience at a digital asset, payments, or crypto-adjacent regulated institution
- Formal FAIR certification or equivalent quantitative risk credential
- Familiarity with post-quantum cryptography standards and cryptographic inventory frameworks
Responsibilities
- Own the cyber risk framework and scenario library
- Maintain the technology and cyber risk register
- Review and challenge security deliverables and control assessments
- Identify risks across infrastructure application and AI systems
- Own the AI governance program
- Support regulatory and counterparty risk assessments
- Track emerging technology model and cryptographic risks
- Assess custody-critical and security-critical vendors
