About the Role

You will lead operational readiness for data center campuses from design coordination through final turnover. You will represent operations across construction, engineering, EHS, commissioning, PMO, operators, and tenants; oversee commissioning; validate operator readiness; drive punch-list completion; track risks and milestones; integrate compliance requirements; and execute documented handoffs to technical operations managers across multiple concurrent sites.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in data center operations, commissioning, or critical facilities program management
  • Experience managing complex cross-functional programs in mission-critical environments
  • Strong technical foundation in electrical, mechanical, and controls systems used in data centers
  • Experience owning commissioning and turnover processes
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent sites and stakeholder relationships
  • Strong communication skills
  • Familiarity with OSHA, NFPA, NETA, and relevant IEC/IEEE standards is a plus
  • Experience with a formal PMO structure is a plus
  • Background in construction management, critical systems commissioning, or facilities engineering is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Represent operations during design and pre-construction phases
  • Identify and resolve design gaps affecting operational performance or safety
  • Track project schedules and surface operational readiness risks
  • Represent operations throughout commissioning
  • Coordinate commissioning agents, engineering, construction, and operators
  • Validate commissioning outcomes against technical and operational thresholds
  • Maintain commissioning records
  • Assess and validate operator readiness before turnover
  • Ensure operators have required documentation, qualifications, and site knowledge
  • Own the punch-list process through final completion
  • Execute documented handoffs to the technical operations manager
  • Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders and dependencies
  • Integrate operational milestones into the master project schedule
  • Ensure EHS and compliance requirements are addressed
  • Coordinate tenant timelines, access, and operational expectations
