About the Role
You will support research activities in computing and computational progress throughout the project lifecycle. You will conduct experiments, collect and analyze data, assist with research development, prepare technical and proposal writing, present findings, maintain project websites, and operate specialized experimental equipment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Two years of relevant research experience, including undergraduate experience
- Demonstrated interest in computer science, computational progress, computational performance, and algorithmic improvement
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Oral and written communication skills
- Ability to present information in small groups and write clear research reports
- Ability to work in teams and contribute to group projects
- Expertise in computing or AI
- Data analysis skills, including statistical or econometric training
- Knowledge of relevant theoretical models
- Proficiency in a modern programming language such as Python or R
Responsibilities
- Assist with research experiments in computing and computational progress
- Collect and analyze experimental data
- Assist the Principal Investigator and collaborators with research development
- Contribute to technical writing for publication
- Assist with proposal writing
- Present research results at conferences and other institutions
- Develop and maintain research project websites
- Operate specialized experimental equipment
- Perform other duties as needed
