About the Role
You will lead technicians performing relay testing, RTU maintenance, wiring construction, fiber maintenance, and substation in-servicing. You will plan schedules, assign personnel, prepare job packages, coordinate with engineering and field teams, review technical documentation, track work completion, and manage resources while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Requirements
- Understanding of substation operations and maintenance practices.
- Demonstrated leadership or coordination experience.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Experience leading field technicians.
- Experience scheduling crews.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support a team of field technicians.
- Conduct routine check-ins and provide performance feedback.
- Create and maintain daily, weekly, and long-term schedules.
- Assign personnel according to skills, workload, and priorities.
- Ensure drawings, schematics, and job packages are complete before work begins.
- Verify the availability of tools, materials, relays, RTUs, wiring components, and test equipment.
- Coordinate outages, commissioning, job dependencies, and field issues.
- Review test reports, drawings, and documentation for completeness.
- Track work orders and test sheets.
- Manage overtime, travel, and per diem resources.
