About the Role

You will support employees in their day-to-day use of computer systems in the Bristol office and offer remote support to other European offices as required. You will perform day-to-day operations, support, and maintenance of the IT platform and cloud applications, and co-own onboarding processes for users and hardware. You will diagnose and resolve issues across Windows desktops and servers, Active Directory and Entra ID, and hardware and peripherals, while developing automation solutions to improve efficiency and scalability. Once fully integrated into the business, you will join an on-call rota providing IT coverage roughly once every 6 weeks, including occasional weekend support, with time off in lieu the following week. To set you up for success, you would need to spend significant chunks of time at the London HQ to onboard with the existing team, with all associated costs covered.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years' experience in a relevant technical role
  • Experience administering Windows environments including Active Directory
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 and Entra ID (Identity, Intune, Purview, Exchange, Teams)
  • Experience with Windows 11 and Windows Server (2019 / 2022 / 2025)
  • Solid PowerShell scripting skills for automation
  • Experience with endpoint management tools such as SCCM and Microsoft Intune
  • Familiarity with Linux command line environments
  • Working knowledge of version control systems such as Git
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts and Cisco CLI commands
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to occasionally move, lift, rack and install equipment such as PCs, switches, and servers
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff members
  • Ability to negotiate high value technology equipment and services

Responsibilities

  • Support employees in their day-to-day use of computer systems in the Bristol office and offer remote support to other European offices
  • Perform day-to-day operations, support, and maintenance of the IT platform and cloud applications including Microsoft 365, Slack, Active Directory, Jira and VC Estate
  • Co-own and continuously improve onboarding processes for both users and hardware in the Bristol office
  • Co-manage IT asset tracking and lifecycle processes including procurement, deployment, refresh, and disposal
  • Contribute to the global Windows platform supporting standardisation, optimisation, and continuous improvement
  • Diagnose and resolve issues across Windows desktops and servers, Active Directory and Entra ID, and hardware and peripherals
  • Develop and maintain automation solutions including automated builds and provisioning, configuration management, patch management and application deployment, and monitoring and observability tooling
  • Participate in an on-call rota providing IT coverage including occasional weekend support and maintenance tasks
