About the Role
You will lead quality assurance across component suppliers, contract manufacturers, and integrators. You will establish inspection processes, define system test coverage, investigate failures, track quality metrics, audit suppliers, and improve factory quality, yield, throughput, and documentation.
Requirements
- Experience supporting quality across L6 components, L10 server assembly, and L11 rack integration with contract manufacturers or ODMs
- Knowledge of PCB/A manufacturing, SMT, SPI, AOI, and X-ray inspection
- Experience establishing and managing IQC, IPQC, and OQC quality systems
- Knowledge of 8D, CAPA, FMEA, SPC, Cpk, control plans, and statistical process control
- Experience improving yield, DPPM, defect density, and production escapes
- Familiarity with server assembly, burn-in, and system-level test workflows
- Cross-functional communication skills
- Ability to work onsite at supplier and contract-manufacturer factories
Responsibilities
- Lead quality assurance for component suppliers, contract manufacturers, and integrators
- Establish incoming, in-process, and outgoing inspection processes
- Define system-level test coverage, burn-in protocols, and reliability validation
- Drive failure analysis, root-cause investigations, and corrective and preventive actions
- Track and report yield, defect density, escapes, and DPPM
- Participate in ECO, configuration-change, and NPI build reviews
- Conduct supplier audits and ensure adherence to ISO/AS and IPC standards
- Scale line capability, training, and documentation
- Champion yield, throughput, and defect-reduction improvements
