About the Role
Join ABC Labs' protocol engineering team to build and maintain reliable, scalable backend infrastructure supporting Ethereum mainnet, Layer 2s, custom APIs, data pipelines, and DeFi experiences.
Requirements
- Full-stack experience with specialization in site reliability engineering
- Familiarity with running blockchain nodes and node-centric backend services
- Production-level experience at a DeFi startup or deep immersion as an end user
- Security-first mindset
- Strong command of English
- Availability for most of a typical US workday
- Willingness to work in person at the San Francisco office is preferred
Responsibilities
- Provision, set up, and secure Linux servers
- Manage blockchain nodes for maximum uptime
- Manage DNS, Cloudflare Workers, Pages, and related services
- Deploy and configure Prometheus and Grafana metrics tooling
- Load test and optimize APIs
- Manage Docker container fleets using Dokploy, Swarm, Kubernetes, or similar tools
- Design and implement highly scalable services with the API team
- Architect solutions and set team priorities to meet scaling goals
- Lead a small engineering team
