About the Role
You will design APIs, frameworks, and abstractions for reinforcement-learning environments. You will own platform layers and the agent runtime, build production debugging tools, embed with research teams, prevent silent failures through verification and testing, drive framework adoption, and mentor engineers and researchers.
Requirements
- Deep Python expertise
- Static typing
- Async and concurrency patterns
- API and framework design experience
- Experience designing or operating stateful concurrent or distributed systems
- Knowledge of failure retries idempotency and consistency
- Verification and measurement practices
- Experience with large evolving or research-style codebases
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to scope ambiguous work
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education training and experience
Responsibilities
- Design APIs frameworks and abstractions for engineers and researchers
- Own platform layers beneath every environment including the agent runtime
- Build tooling for environment owners to debug and maintain production environments
- Embed with research teams and transfer ownership of systems
- Prevent silent failures through type safety invariants testing and refactoring
- Drive framework adoption deprecations and cutovers
- Define engineering standards review practices and design patterns
- Mentor researchers and engineers
