About the Role
You will design, build, deploy, and operate the software platform that carries physical-security signals from source systems to analyst decisions. You will create event contracts, analytics pipelines, alerts, analyst tools, audit evidence, monitoring, and site-local services. You will set vendor requirements, review deliverables, travel to data-center sites, and participate in on-call.
Requirements
- Production experience building and operating event-driven backend systems
- Proficiency in Python, Go, or Rust
- Experience with a message bus or event-streaming system such as Kafka
- End-to-end system ownership in production
- Experience integrating vendor APIs, on-premises appliances, video platforms, or building systems
- Experience directing vendor or integrator work and reviewing deliverables
- Experience designing and testing for system failures and unreliable sources
- Experience building tools for operators working under pressure
- Security operations platform experience
- Machine-learning or computer-vision inference pipeline experience
- PSIM, VMS, physical access-control, or building-systems integration experience
- Audit-evidence, log-integrity, retention, or chain-of-custody experience
- Experience with AI-assisted development tooling
Responsibilities
- Design and build the event bus, normalized event schema, and source adapters
- Build correlation and alerting services
- Build classification and analytics pipelines for computer vision and multi-sensor fusion
- Build analyst queues, escalation tools, dashboards, camera viewers, and video-wall content
- Deliver tamper-evident event history, evidence exports, retention, and access controls
- Instrument detection, alerting, telemetry, and change-audit monitoring
- Deploy site-local and central services and commission each site
- Specify platform compute, storage, and network-segment requirements
- Define vendor requirements and acceptance criteria and approve or reject deliverables
