About the Role
You will build and maintain detection models and rules that identify market abuse across trading data. You will create partner-facing surveillance reports, investigate flagged cases, validate and tune detection quality with partners, maintain data quality, and translate fraud patterns into actionable evidence-backed findings.
Requirements
- Deep trade-surveillance or market-risk experience
- Hands-on knowledge of wash trading, hedging, reverse trading, collusion, and copy trading
- Knowledge of futures and derivatives trading mechanics, including fills, positions, and P&L
- Strong SQL skills
- Experience with a cloud data warehouse; BigQuery and Athena are preferred
- Ability to investigate large transactional datasets
- Ability to design and analytically defend detection rules or anomaly models
- 10+ years of data analytics or data science experience
- Ability to maintain data quality and communicate technical findings to partners and executives
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve detection models and rules that flag market abuse across trading data
- Own partner-facing surveillance reporting from standardized end-of-day reports toward real-time monitoring
- Validate true and false positives with evaluation and prop-firm partners
- Calibrate detection quality and tune thresholds and rules
- Collaborate with partners on custom reporting and solution feasibility
- Translate fraud patterns into tunable detection logic
- Maintain surveillance-data quality and hygiene
- Investigate flagged cases and produce evidence-backed findings
- Continuously reduce false positives and identify emerging fraud patterns
