About the Role
You will specify and verify physical security systems for data center sites, including barriers, intrusion detection, video, lighting, and protected site entry points. You will create design packages and test methods, review designs, conduct commissioning, manage deviations, and define and accept control-room systems.
Requirements
- Experience designing or specifying campus-scale physical security systems
- Ability to read and produce construction documents using AutoCAD, Revit, or Bluebeam
- Ability to write testable performance requirements and verification methods
- Experience commissioning and accepting systems against performance criteria
- Ability to derive requirements from threat assessments
- Experience owning an engineering domain and working directly with vendors
Responsibilities
- Produce vendor-ready physical security design packages
- Define per-site engineering requirements, compensating controls, and documented deviations
- Write acceptance criteria, test methods, and required evidence
- Set standoff, structural hardening, and site layout criteria
- Run commissioning and acceptance testing for perimeter, detection, video, and lighting systems
- Write operational and design requirements for security operations control rooms
- Accept or reject delivered control-room systems against established criteria
