About the Role
You will lead the integration of major aircraft systems across their development lifecycle. You will define installation and interface architectures, lead packaging studies and investigations, approve engineering releases, support builds and production readiness, manage technical execution, and mentor engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- 7+ years of aircraft or complex aerospace systems integration experience
- Experience owning major aircraft subsystem integration from concept through production
- Aircraft installation design experience
- CAD and PLM expertise with CATIA, NX, Creo, Teamcenter, Windchill, 3DEXPERIENCE, or equivalent tools
- Experience with machined, fabricated, sheet-metal, and installation hardware design
- Experience with aircraft routing design
- Drawing development and release experience
- GD&T and tolerance stack-up capability
- Experience managing BOMs, engineering changes, and configuration baselines
- Experience supporting manufacturing, build, installation, supplier, and production-readiness activities
- Experience leading cross-functional technical teams
Responsibilities
- Lead integration of major aircraft systems across engineering disciplines
- Establish subsystem installation architecture and interface strategies
- Lead multidisciplinary packaging studies
- Develop installation, routing, CAD, drawing, and configuration-management standards
- Lead aircraft integration, manufacturing, supplier, and field investigations
- Review and approve installation drawings, BOMs, engineering changes, and configuration baselines
- Guide prototype builds, manufacturing readiness, and production integration
- Coordinate with systems, structures, stress, manufacturing, and supply-chain organizations
- Mentor engineers and drive technical consistency
- Manage technical scope, schedule, risks, and engineering execution
