About the Role

You will set technical direction for Linux kernel development and lead critical projects from design through upstream production. You will analyze OS and hardware issues, manage kernel CVEs, develop and review kernel subsystems, build virtualization for GPU workloads, optimize efficiency, and mentor engineers.

Requirements

Deep knowledge of Linux kernel internals, including memory management, scheduler, networking, storage, I/O, or device drivers
Strong C programming skills
Fluency with kernel development workflows, patch submission, mailing lists, and Lore
Experience with CVE analysis, exploitability assessment, and backporting fixes
Ability to set technical direction and drive projects end to end
Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as KVM, Xen, or QEMU
10+ years of systems software engineering experience on low-level systems or infrastructure teams

Responsibilities

Set technical direction and own the Linux kernel roadmap
Architect and lead kernel features, security patching infrastructure, and deployment systems
Perform root-cause analysis across OS and hardware layers
Lead kernel CVE triage and backporting
Build automated tooling for vulnerability analysis
Develop and review Linux kernel code
Contribute changes upstream to the Linux kernel community
Design and implement virtualization technologies for GPU-accelerated AI and HPC workloads
Optimize kernel efficiency, memory management, hugepages, and memory overcommit
Mentor and review work from engineers
