About the Role
You will define and execute aircraft power-system development from concept through production. You will design, test, select, integrate, verify, and debug high-power systems, lead trade studies and architecture work, and mentor engineers.
Requirements
- Power-system design experience on a large vehicle, aircraft, or equivalent power system
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- Experience delivering power-system and power-electronic products to market
- Proficiency with electrical engineering development tools, simulation, and test equipment
- Strong technical fundamentals and analysis
Responsibilities
- Define and execute power-system development from concept to production
- Design, develop, and integrate high-power systems
- Enable an uninterruptible power system
- Perform make-versus-buy trade studies
- Select, test, and integrate aircraft modules
- Verify system performance and reliability
- Debug electrical, environmental, and manufacturing problems
- Lead engineers dedicated to power-system design
- Drive cross-functional execution of the top-level architecture
- Provide mentorship, design review, and program execution leadership
