About the Role
You will architect, develop, test, and sustain autonomy behaviors for unmanned platforms. You will lead technical delivery, coordinate with integration stakeholders, support mission software across its lifecycle, and help evolve reusable autonomy capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's, master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Production-level C++ development proficiency
- 7 or more years of experience in scheduling and integration, behavior planning, task allocation, motion planning, optimization, or flight controls
- Experience with version control, issue tracking, code review, and release management
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage project lifecycles
- Ability to mentor junior team members
- Ability to own software systems from requirements through sustainment
Responsibilities
- Develop tactical autonomy software for unmanned platforms
- Implement and test behaviors for coordination, target engagement, reconnaissance, and survivability
- Lead software development from requirements through validation
- Develop reusable behavior architectures across projects
- Architect scalable autonomy software subsystems
- Coordinate interface requirements with external and vehicle-integration stakeholders
- Represent software engineering in multi-stakeholder environments
- Travel to end-user and team locations up to 20% of the time
