About the Role

You will develop, tune, and validate aircraft trajectory and recovery-behavior models. You will build Python analysis, simulation, HIL, and flight-test workflows; integrate prediction behavior with autopilot interfaces; support flight testing; and contribute scoped C or C++ implementation, testing, and debugging.

Requirements

  • 7 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree, 6 years with a Master's degree, 4 years with a PhD, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in trajectory prediction, aircraft-response modeling, aerospace simulation, robotics, applied autonomy, or GNC-adjacent domains
  • Expert Python skills for algorithm development, numerical analysis, data processing, plotting, tuning, and test automation
  • Working proficiency in C or C++
  • Experience interfacing guidance, trajectory, or safety-critical algorithms with autopilots
  • Experience validating behavior through simulation, HIL, flight hardware, or flight-test data
  • Ability to document model assumptions and validation evidence and lead technical coordination

Responsibilities

  • Develop, tune, and validate trajectory and recovery-behavior models
  • Build Python analysis, simulation, HIL, and flight-test workflows
  • Compare predicted and observed aircraft behavior and tune model parameters
  • Integrate and evaluate trajectory-prediction behavior with autopilot interfaces
  • Support hardware integration and flight-test campaigns
  • Evolve trajectory-prediction and safety behaviors for multi-agent use cases
  • Produce algorithm handoff artifacts
  • Contribute scoped C or C++ implementation, testing, and debugging
