About the Role

You will lead mechanical construction activities, coordinate labor and resources, manage production plans and costs, mentor field supervision, and serve as a customer contact. You will deploy automated equipment, provide construction feedback, document operational learnings, and enforce safety and quality requirements.

Requirements

  • Lead mechanical construction on utility-scale solar EPC projects
  • Supervise large multi-crew field operations, craft workers, and subcontractors
  • Understand tools, heavy equipment, and safe application on solar construction sites
  • Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
  • Understand job-costing principles and track cost performance
  • Know applicable construction codes and safety regulations
  • Communicate with owners, clients, engineers, and field personnel
  • Hold a valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle record
  • Relocate to project sites as needed
  • Travel up to 80–90% during deployments

Responsibilities

  • Lead foremen and craft labor for mechanical construction scopes
  • Plan and coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor resources
  • Maintain crew matrices, equipment plans, and production schedules
  • Reconcile production actuals against work plans and budgets
  • Mentor and coach field supervision
  • Serve as acting project leader and primary customer contact
  • Deploy automated installation equipment with robotics engineers and field application teams
  • Provide construction feasibility feedback for equipment design and deployment
  • Document operational learnings, performance data, and process improvements
  • Enforce company, EPC, and OSHA safety regulations
  • Manage employee safety training
  • Ensure construction activities conform to the project Quality Plan
