About the Role
You will own production software systems from operational discovery through design, deployment, and operation. You will build the internal stack connecting planning, materials, purchasing, personnel, and factory processes. You will partner with operators and engineers, improve workflows, integrate automation equipment, and apply AI to operational decisions.
Requirements
- PostgreSQL experience including complex queries, performance tuning, and schema design
- Data modeling and systems-design judgment
- Systems integration experience with APIs, tools, and workflows
- Software engineering fundamentals and ability to ship reliable production systems
- Ability to travel regularly to factories in the US and UK
Responsibilities
- Own production software systems from discovery through deployment and operation
- Build and maintain internal operational software for planning, materials, purchasing, personnel, and factory processes
- Develop production planning and inventory and materials-flow tools
- Improve factory operator workflows
- Integrate automation equipment
- Apply AI and LLMs to operational decision-making
- Build real-time coordination systems for people, robots, inventory, and suppliers
- Travel regularly to factories in the US and UK
