About the Role
Work alongside mentors and teammates to develop and optimize Optiver’s real-time trading systems, solve engineering problems, and learn how requirements and feedback shape production software.
Requirements
- Penultimate-year student in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
- Ability to work full time upon graduation in 2028
- Proficiency in C++, Python, or Java
- Understanding of computer architecture and system operations
- Interest in the financial industry
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Right to work in the UK for the full internship duration
Responsibilities
- Build a foundation in trading fundamentals
- Design, develop, test, and ship code to production
- Enhance trading systems
- Solve complex real-world engineering problems
- Work with engineers and traders to understand requirements
- Respond to feedback and improve systems
