About the Role

Join Akuna Capital's UI team for a 10-week summer internship developing, testing, and maintaining real-time Windows desktop trading applications in C# and .NET. Work with Traders, Quants, and Software Engineers in an Agile/Scrum environment while evaluating technologies and shadowing application support.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor's, master's, or Ph.D. in computer science, engineering, or an equivalent technical field
  • Graduating by August 2028
  • Major GPA of 3.5 or above
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States on the first day of employment, including F-1 students using OPT or STEM
  • Understanding of the .NET Framework and C#
  • Familiarity with WinForms or WPF
  • Familiarity with object-oriented programming and design patterns
  • Familiarity with Git or another version control system
  • Understanding of unit testing concepts and frameworks such as NUnit
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop Windows desktop applications using C# .NET and WinForms or WPF
  • Implement unit and integration tests
  • Evaluate and implement technologies to improve user experience and development efficiency
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum development
  • Shadow the application support process
  • Design, build, test, and maintain real-time trading applications
