About the Role
You will evolve how data is stored and accessed at scale by building datastore provisioning and access tooling, evaluating scalable storage systems, operating Kafka and other datastores, coordinating migrations, improving reliability, and reducing operational burden.
Requirements
- 6+ years of software engineering experience
- Large-scale infrastructure systems
- Kafka
- DynamoDB or similar non-relational datastores
- Distributed systems fundamentals
- Production cloud infrastructure
- Redis or ValKey
- Infrastructure optimization
- Technical communication
Responsibilities
- Build datastore provisioning and access tooling
- Evaluate and pilot highly available scalable storage systems
- Own Kafka capacity planning partitioning performance tuning and reliability
- Operate non-relational datastores such as DynamoDB
- Coordinate datastore migrations and topology changes
- Improve query performance caching workload management automation and data reliability
- Participate in on-call operations
- Partner with product engineering teams
