About the Role
You will develop high-performance controls modules for autonomous vehicles operating on challenging off-road terrain. You will characterize vehicle dynamics, create optimal-control solutions, test controls on production vehicles, and work with customer engineers and relationships.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience building production software using modern software practices.
- Experience testing controls solutions on real production-grade vehicles.
- Differential equations.
- Numerical optimization.
- Numerical analysis.
- Physics.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement controls modules for autonomous navigation on off-road vehicles.
- Characterize customer vehicle dynamics to create tailored controls solutions and reduce the simulation-to-reality gap.
- Evaluate and use academic research to create optimal-control solutions using nonlinear MPC and MPPI control.
- Collaborate with customer engineers and manage customer relationships.
