About the Role
You will architect scalable backend systems for integrity and safety features. You will develop and operate machine-learning models for content classification, anomaly detection, risk scoring, behavior analysis, and generative-AI safeguards. You will lead technical strategy, mentor engineers, and improve the performance, reliability, scalability, and cost of integrity platforms.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with emphasis on backend systems
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- Experience designing, building, and operating large-scale, highly available distributed systems
- Expertise in Python, Go, Java, or C++
- Experience applying machine learning to real-world integrity, trust, or safety challenges
- Understanding of the machine-learning lifecycle, including data preparation, feature engineering, model selection, training, validation, A/B testing, deployment, and monitoring
- Problem-solving ability for ambiguous and technically challenging problems
- Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced development environment
- Communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems for integrity and safety features
- Lead technical solutions for detecting, preventing, and mitigating integrity risks
- Develop, deploy, and iterate on machine-learning models for integrity challenges
- Collaborate with product, data science, AI research, security, and operations partners
- Drive the technical vision and roadmap for integrity systems and applied ML
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers
- Implement software engineering, distributed systems, data engineering, and ML lifecycle best practices
- Improve the performance, scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of integrity platforms and ML models
- Stay current with safety threats, backend engineering, distributed systems, and generative-AI safety research
