About the Role

You will own backend services for the accounting platform, integrations, and rules engine. You will build scalable transaction-processing systems, establish foundations for AI-assisted accounting categorization, improve internal developer tooling, and maintain high standards for correctness, observability, and auditability.

Requirements

• 3+ years of backend engineering experience
• Experience designing and maintaining distributed systems with high data-integrity requirements
• Strong understanding of system design, reliability engineering, and service observability
• Fluency in Python or a comparable modern backend language
• Ability to work with accounting teams and product stakeholders to translate business needs into code
• Experience building infrastructure that balances precision, performance, and extensibility

• Lay the technical foundation for AI agents to suggest and enforce accounting categorizations
