About the Role
You will support field surveys, installations, calibrations, operational checks, and customer handoffs. You will lead flight events, troubleshoot aircraft and communications systems, coordinate operational readiness with partners and customers, and train and evaluate operators while reinforcing safe operating practices.
Requirements
- Instructor experience in manned or unmanned aviation
- FAA Private Pilot License
- FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate
- Ability to obtain and maintain an FAA Class II Medical Certificate
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD security clearance
- Ability to pass background, drug, and customer-required medical and dental screenings
- Willingness to travel on short notice 50–75% for CONUS and OCONUS support
- Ability to climb masts and ladders, work in confined areas, and lift and carry 50 pounds or more
- Ability to lead and operate independently in small teams and austere environments
- Aviation judgment, decision-making, crew coordination, and risk management skills
- Ability to troubleshoot aircraft, payload, ground control, communications, network, and support equipment
Responsibilities
- Support site surveys, installations, calibrations, aircraft operational checks, and customer handoffs
- Lead flight operations and field events
- Diagnose and resolve issues across aircraft, payloads, ground systems, datalinks, networks, RF communications, SATCOM, and support equipment
- Coordinate with operational, engineering, maintenance, training, and customer partners to resolve issues
- Train, evaluate, and develop operators
- Reinforce standards, tactics, techniques, procedures, checklist discipline, and safe operating practices
