About the Role
Design, deploy, manage, and maintain storage infrastructure; monitor performance and availability; plan capacity; implement backup and disaster recovery strategies; troubleshoot storage issues; document systems; collaborate on upgrades; and automate provisioning.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Linux systems administration focused on storage
- Experience with Ceph
- Experience with enterprise storage systems
- Understanding of RAID, LVM, NFS, iSCSI, multipathing, and file systems
- Experience with clustering technologies
- Shell scripting proficiency
- Python knowledge
- Puppet or Ansible knowledge
- Virtualization technologies such as VMware or KVM
- AWS S3 and EBS familiarity
- Experience with Nagios, Prometheus, or Zabbix
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy SAN and object storage infrastructure
- Monitor and maintain storage systems
- Perform capacity planning and forecasting
- Implement backup, replication, and disaster recovery strategies
- Troubleshoot storage systems
- Maintain configuration and procedure documentation
