About the Role
You will design and build Android experiences for creation, discovery, playback, and social features. You will create reusable foundations, own features from scope through iteration, improve performance and app health, shape platform architecture, and mentor engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years shipping production Android apps
- Advanced Kotlin and modern Android development expertise
- Experience building polished animations and translating design prototypes into production code
- Knowledge of Android for media-rich applications
- Experience profiling and improving UI rendering, memory, and network efficiency
- Experience collaborating with designers, product managers, and backend teams
- Eligibility to work in the US
Responsibilities
- Design and build Android app experiences across creation, discovery, playback, and social features
- Create abstractions and libraries for interactive media experiences
- Own feature development from scoping through post-launch iteration
- Collaborate with product and design on app flow and direction
- Optimize rendering, audio latency, and interactions
- Instrument and monitor app health using user data
- Set Android technical direction and architectural patterns
- Mentor engineers and improve code quality
