About the Role

You will lead the design, scaling, and operation of a Linux-based virtualization platform. You will evolve KVM/QEMU architecture, define VM lifecycle and resilience standards, optimize GPU and high-performance workloads, automate hypervisor operations, and troubleshoot system performance across compute, storage, and networking.

Requirements

• 7+ years of infrastructure, systems engineering, or platform engineering experience
• Experience with Linux-based virtualization, including KVM/QEMU and libvirt or similar tooling
• Understanding of CPU scheduling, NUMA, memory management, and storage I/O performance
• Experience designing and operating virtualization platforms at scale
• Knowledge of Linux networking, bridges, bonding, VLANs, and high-performance networking
• Experience with infrastructure automation such as Ansible or Terraform
• Distributed-systems troubleshooting skills

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a scalable virtualization platform for high-density compute and GPU workloads
• Lead the transition from Proxmox to KVM/QEMU-based architectures
• Define VM lifecycle, resource allocation, isolation, and resilience standards
• Optimize NUMA alignment, CPU pinning, PCIe topology, and GPU passthrough
• Integrate networking and storage systems
• Improve hypervisor deployment, configuration, image pipelines, and cluster lifecycle automation
• Troubleshoot compute, memory, storage, and network performance issues
• Contribute to platform architecture and infrastructure strategy
