About the Role
Build and improve core storage infrastructure and services that enable safe, reliable database access at scale, including data plane and control plane systems, automation workflows, observability, incident response, and performance improvements.
Requirements
- Experience building and operating backend or infrastructure systems in production
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL and relational database concepts including schema design, indexing, query performance, and replication
- Proficiency in at least one backend language such as Go or Rust
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and containers, preferably AWS and Kubernetes
- Operational experience with on-call, incident response, and post-incident follow-ups
- Familiarity with observability and performance measurement including metrics, dashboards, logging, and tracing
Responsibilities
- Build and ship services that improve database reliability and performance
- Implement automation for provisioning, configuration changes, backups, and routine operations
- Improve observability with metrics, logging, and alerts
- Diagnose and resolve production issues across storage infrastructure
- Contribute to secure database connectivity standards and safe usage guardrails
