About the Role
You will investigate performance and latency bottlenecks across the software stack. You will instrument code, collect metrics, evaluate profiling tools, and establish performance baselines. You will work with stakeholders to prioritize improvements and optimize critical code paths and algorithms for runtime efficiency, lower latency, and reliable performance.
Requirements
- Proficiency developing high-performance embedded Linux systems software in C++
- Ability to manage the complete software development lifecycle from ideation through delivery and optimization
- Proficiency with performance profiling tools and techniques
- Proven track record of methodical experiment evaluation
- Technical knowledge of OS scheduling, computer architecture, and thread synchronisation
Responsibilities
- Investigate latency and performance bottlenecks across the software stack
- Instrument code with profiling tools and metrics to identify optimization opportunities
- Integrate and evaluate profiling and instrumentation tools
- Benchmark system performance and establish baselines
- Collaborate with teams to prioritize performance optimization efforts
- Optimize critical code paths and algorithms to improve runtime efficiency and reduce latency
