About the Role
Join Offchain's Developer Platform team to build KMS, the key-management and signing service behind ZeroDev's embedded wallets. Own backend services, cryptographic recovery and trust-model machinery, authentication and signing integrations, and production operations for externally audited infrastructure.
Requirements
- Strong backend engineering experience shipping and operating production services in Go or an adjacent systems language.
- Security-first mindset with experience reasoning about threat models, blast radius, and key custody.
- Applied cryptography fundamentals including public-key cryptography, signatures, and key management.
- Distributed systems and API design knowledge, including idempotency, failure modes, and service boundaries.
- Operational maturity with Kubernetes, observability, and incident response.
- Clear written communication skills for design documents and decision records.
- TEE experience is a plus.
- Threshold cryptography or MPC experience is a plus.
- Account abstraction and smart-account wallet experience is a plus.
- Custody or signing-provider experience is a plus.
- HSM, YubiKey, PIV, or secure-element integration experience is a plus.
- Third-party security audit and remediation experience is a plus.
- WebAuthn, passkeys, OAuth/OIDC, and Go crypto ecosystem experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Build Go backend services for wallet creation, authentication, and signing at scale.
- Implement key recovery and committee trust models using distributed key generation and secret sharing.
- Operate trusted execution environments with hardware isolation and remote attestation.
- Integrate passkeys, WebAuthn, OAuth, OTP, sessions, 2FA, and third-party signing providers.
- Write design documents and decision records and work with external security auditors.
- Operate Kubernetes production systems, including observability, alerting, secrets, certificates, on-call, and compliance controls.
- Implement sanctions screening and PII-safe handling.
