About the Role

Design, build, and implement changes to Stellar Core, improving distributed-system performance, resilience, decentralization, and consensus while owning core subsystems and authoring technical RFC specifications.

Requirements

4+ years of software development experience on a team.
BS or MS in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
Production experience with modern C++ or Rust.
Knowledge of software design patterns and reusable, extensible, modular component design.
Strong technical communication and technical discussion leadership.
Performance debugging and benchmarking experience.
Knowledge of development best practices and tools.

Responsibilities

Design and build key components of Stellar Core.
Design and develop robust, scalable, and extensible technologies for developers and network participants.
Collaborate on new architectures and subsystems.
Write clean, maintainable code with edge-case analysis and future-proofing.
Own core subsystems and help deliver critical product milestones.
Contribute to code reviews, design discussions, and engineering best practices.
Investigate and refactor performance bottlenecks.
Author technical feature and protocol RFC specifications.
