About the Role
You design, build, and scale a reliable billing platform. You own billing systems from usage metering and pricing through invoicing and payments, build real-time and batch processing pipelines, provide customer usage insights, and improve reconciliation, observability, and error handling.

Responsibilities
- Design and operate reliable billing services
- Build systems that make usage and charges clear to customers
- Implement flexible pricing and billing capabilities
- Build safeguards, validation systems, and reconciliation workflows
- Lead design discussions and review code
- Design and build usage metering, pricing, invoicing, and payment systems
- Ensure billing data and workflows are accurate, reliable, and auditable
- Develop real-time and batch pipelines for usage tracking and cost calculation
- Build APIs and services for customer usage and spending insights
- Partner with Finance and Product on pricing models, product launches, and revenue workflows
- Improve observability, reconciliation, and error handling
- Make architectural decisions for long-term platform scalability
- Mentor engineers and contribute to hiring practices
