About the Role

You design, build, and scale a reliable billing platform. You own billing systems from usage metering and pricing through invoicing and payments, build real-time and batch processing pipelines, provide customer usage insights, and improve reconciliation, observability, and error handling.

Responsibilities

  • Design and operate reliable billing services
  • Build systems that make usage and charges clear to customers
  • Implement flexible pricing and billing capabilities
  • Build safeguards, validation systems, and reconciliation workflows
  • Lead design discussions and review code
  • Design and build usage metering, pricing, invoicing, and payment systems
  • Ensure billing data and workflows are accurate, reliable, and auditable
  • Develop real-time and batch pipelines for usage tracking and cost calculation
  • Build APIs and services for customer usage and spending insights
  • Partner with Finance and Product on pricing models, product launches, and revenue workflows
  • Improve observability, reconciliation, and error handling
  • Make architectural decisions for long-term platform scalability
  • Mentor engineers and contribute to hiring practices
