About the Role
You will own transaction-processing services for signing and settlement flows. You will design service contracts and reliability controls, lead incident response, write RFCs, manage concurrency and consistency, and translate banking and blockchain integration requirements into platform capabilities.
Requirements
- Have 5–7 years of backend software engineering experience
- Be proficient in TypeScript
- Have experience with Effect or a comparable functional effect system
- Have experience with durable workflow or orchestration systems
- Understand concurrency control, idempotency, at-least-once delivery, and reconciliation
- Have production experience with PostgreSQL and Kafka or equivalent message infrastructure
- Be able to independently own service reliability and design
- Have strong written communication skills
Responsibilities
- Own transaction-processing platform infrastructure for signing and settlement flows
- Own transaction-ordering and concurrency-control logic
- Design data models, API contracts, and retry and backoff logic
- Define SLOs, alerting thresholds, and runbooks for owned services
- Lead incident response, root-cause analysis, and postmortems
- Assess consistency models, failure modes, capacity, and architectural risk
- Coordinate with banking and blockchain engineers on platform requirements
